Hey all, I’m working with DecoArt today to share some lovely Kate Space inspired decor. It’s confetti canvas art with an “eat cake for breakfast” theme. I’m excited to be doing something a little different today, too. I really need to do more fun projects like this.

DecoArt Core Creators

This is also my first project as a DecoArt Core Creator! Those of you who have been around the blog for a bit know that I’ve worked with DecoArt many times. They are an awesome paint company, and I’m excited to share that I’m joining their team as a Core Creator for the year.

That means I’ll be doing regular projects for them and sharing them with you. Sometimes here, sometimes over on the DecoArt blog. I’ll be doing projects every other month…and every other one of those I will put here. 🙂

One of the things I’m most excited about is working with some new materials and working on new and different projects. This canvas art is definitely an example of that. To make it, I used a combination of painting (with a new line I’ve never worked with before), paper crafting, glittering by hand, and decoupaging.

I do a lot of painting, but I don’t typically work with decoupage or glitter. (Unless you count my DIY glitter Christmas ornaments or the recent epoxy paint pour art I made, which had hints of glitter in it.)

So it was great doing something a bit outside of my comfort zone. Even if I’m going to be finding super fine gold specs of glitter around my dining room for months.
