5 free printable paint by numbers drawings for kids!
Hey all! I am so excited to finally get these out…I have been wanting to try some paint by numbers pictures with my daughter, so I decided to get a few up on the blog as well! Paint by numbers pictures are a great way to help teach kids how to be more intentional with colors when they are painting.
Right now my daughter is more in the throw-paint-on-and-mix-it-up phase, but she’ll be 4 soon and is showing more interest in coloring inside the lines and making pretty pictures with crayons. So I want to introduce some easy paint by numbers as well!
Free printables with and without color labels
I have five printables available for download: a dinosaur, a fairy, a cat, a unicorn, and a dog. Each printable has two versions, though. One of the versions has number and color labels, while the other version has only number labels. Here’s why.
Deciding on the colors was a pretty quick process. But if you have really little ones who can’t read yet, it might be better to just put a splash of the color in each blank. That way they can easily look at “1” and see the actual paint color light blue. Then just match them up!
Or you can take advantage of the blanks in the version without colors to decide on your own colors. Either because you don’t have all of the paint colors listed or you just want to make a fancy pink and purple dinosaur!
Download the freebies here!
I use Grow by Mediavine to deliver most of my exclusive freebies. If you want to download all of these files, sign up below! It will unlock a link to my Dropbox folder that has ALL of my free educational and fun printables for kids.
The files are designed to be printed on traditional U.S. Letter pages, so that’s 8.5 inches by 11 inches. Any larger and they will be a bit blurry, so just keep that in mind. Enjoy!
