A morning routine printable for kids is a fun way to help get kids through the morning without a huge fight. I made this one for my daughter and am sharing three different versions!
Free morning routine printable for kids, three versions
I don’t know about your kids, but my kid LOVES routines. She loves motivation and knowing what is coming next. Charts, checklists, and templates help her feel accomplished (sometimes she checks things off or adds a sticker), and help her feel in control.
Like, the morning usually goes something like this. I say “alright, it’s now time to put your clothes on,” and then she says “no I want to keep my jammies on for 5 more minutes” and then I say “no, I said clothes now honey.” And she digs her heels in. She’s my strong-willed girl.
A morning routine printable helps take it out of my hands. Instead, it’s the printable’s fault. LOL. I just point to it and say “oh, well here’s our routine, what do we do next?” You could also do something like let them choose which thing to do next if they don’t want to get dressed, for example. Give them some control.
